Cobie LaJeanne writes palpable psychological fiction with in-depth characters and storylines that will haunt you for years. As an adoptee with C-PTSD and Major Depressive Disorder, she is a strong advocate for mental health and the road toward healing. Her work is inspired by events in her life as well as true crime stories, exploring important topics such as familial generational trauma, religious/cult trauma, adoption trauma, and more.

In the Summer of 2021, Cobie started a marketing project with Ukrainian model Zara Zaretskaya, International model Alex Herasymenko, and photographer/videographer Sergey Zadunaysky. The project focused on bringing her characters from her psychological thriller, Cradle, to life, soon adding actor/singer/model Dmitriy Svyatov, as well as models Yurii and Kateryna Hryhoriak and Alina Zatsepina. She made many other contacts in Ukraine during this time. The project was set to shoot in May 2022, but it has been postponed indefinitely due to Russia’s war on Ukraine. Cobie has raised awareness of the war since, amplifying Ukrainian voices, participating in fundraisers, buying from Ukrainian writers and artists, and attending rallies in Washington, D.C., in honor of her team, who have become dear friends.

Cobie lives in an RV full-time with her husband and two small girls, traveling the United States.

Her favorite authors include Loreth Anne White, Karin Slaughter, L.T. Vargus, Tim McBain, and Tana French.
